I know, I know, I am late to the game with this one, but I wasn’t sure where to schedule this blog post. I did want to do this tag, as I think they can be so much fun. A big thank you to Lindsey, who tagged me in this post. You can check out her Autumnal Tag here.
Favourite candle scent?
Sandalwood hands down is my favourite candle scent so far. I’m not an expert when it comes to candle scents, as I only bought one this year. Any candle recommendations?
Coffee, tea or hot chocolate
I am about to make a lot of enemies here, but I absolutely hate tea and coffee. I have to opt for hot chocolate, but even then, I can never seem to never be able to finish a full mug.
What is the best Autumn memory you have?
The house I grew up in was located close to a series of beautiful pink trees. The trees grew down the road that you had to take to get anywhere, to school, to town, to my friend’s house, most places. When Autumn started, the pink leaves would cascade down from the trees and completely cover the street. It made the morning walks to school seem brighter, and it was like I was in my own little movie. Walking through the pink leaves as they fluttered around the streets.
I don’t have an excellent memory, so I struggled to think about a specific Autumn memory, which made me feel a little bit sad, so I hope this story will suffice.
Best fragrance for Autumn?
I wasn’t sure about this one, so I genuinely had to Google what my current fragrance contains. Orange blossom and jasmine, with hints of amber and honey.
Favourite Thanksgiving food?
I live in the UK; therefore, I do not celebrate Thanksgiving, but I am always game for a Turkey! Mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing – those are key favourites for my Sunday roast and those crossover with Thanksgiving.
What is Autumn weather like where you live?
As mentioned, I live in the UK, so the weather can be very temperamental. We’ve had sunny days, cloudy days, rainy days, and days that have all three.
Football games or jumping in a pile of leaves?
100% jump in a pile of leaves! I can never resist, and it is a moment when you can feel like a kid again.
Is pumpkin spice worth the hype?
I still don’t know! I’ve never had one, and I’ve said since the start of Blogtober that I wanted to try one. Starbucks is about a 35-minute walk from where I live, so I should go there soon.
Favourite Autumn TV show?
Is this a set category? I don’t associate certain shows with Autumn, but the latest season of YOU on Netflix is available now, so that would be my choice.
What song gets you into the Autumn spirit?
I associate Autumn with Halloween and don’t really have an Autumn song, so I would have to say spooky scary skeletons. It’s a fun little song that gets me into the Halloween spirit.
What do you want to be for Halloween?
Like every year, I will be wearing my Batman dress, as I want to get my money’s worth, plus, I might as well wear something I already own.
Hats or scarves?
Can I pick both? I have a lovely collection of hats, scarves and gloves! I have a few knitted scarves, made by my lovely Grandma, and a scarf that is more like a blanket as it is so big. If I had to pick one, I would have to say scarves.
What is your favourite thing about Autumn?
I have a collection of knitted blankets made by my Grandma. When it starts getting colder, it means I can start using them again. I also love cosy jumpers, nights at home and reading with the sound of rain outside. Oh, and watching as the leaves change colour and cascade to the floor.
I am late to this tag, as I already scheduled a lot of my Blogtober content, so I can imagine most bloggers have already done this tag. If you haven’t, consider this your tag and get writing your own Autumnal tag post.
If you have already done this tag, let me know in the comments, as I would love to check out your post. Alternatively, answer one of these questions in the comments below! 🍂
